St. Vincent de Paul Society responds to the needy for our community by providing clothes on Wednesday, from 8AM to 12:00 Noon.  Catholic Social Services in Galliano provides food and clothes on Wednesday.  For more information call 693-3815.

VISITATION OF THE SICK

Ministering to the sick parishioners on a bi-weekly basis is a very rewarding ministry for the sick and its ministers.  Visitors are needed for home, hospital and nursing home visits.  The sick are prayed for weekly at mass.  If you know of anyone who needs to be visited or add or delete a name, please call the office.

BLOOD DRIVE
The Parish, school and Knights of Columbus Council 8898 each sponsors a blood drive.


CONFIRMATION SERVICE PROJECTS

As preparation for confirmation, candidates build in parish community through Christian service.  Flyers are available which give details of individual and group opportunities through Office of Religious Education.

HOLY NAME SOCIETY

Open to all men and women of the parish, the Society provides basic service to the church.
They were responsible for refurbishing the interior of the church and the Annual Pre-Thanksgiving
Dinner that ministers to a thousand senior citizens and needy, and the annual Good Friday
Outdoor Way of the Cross.




The National Association of the Holy Name Society is composed of twenty Archdiocesan / Diocesan Holy Name Society Unions from across the United States and the Philippines. Each of these Unions is composed of dozens of parish Holy Name Societies. Members of this special Confraternity work in fraternal charity to spread devotion to the most Holy Names of God and Jesus Christ. 

The Holy Name Society is the popular name for the Confraternity of the Most Holy Names of God and Jesus. It is fundamentally and essentially a spiritual organization for Catholics - lay and religious, whose purpose is to give honor to the Most Sacred Names of God and Jesus.

Sunday, October 1, the people of the neighboring parishes gather together with the right to life committee at Sacred Heart Church in Cut Off.  Individuals hold signs and have silent prayer.
