Ministers assist with the distribution of Holy Communion at the Liturgy, sick and shut-in, nursing home and hospitals. These ministers are carefully selected and chosen at the discretion of the Pastor and the Bishop. A mandatory training is required. Commissioning is at a regular Sunday Mass.

They assist the priest in celebrating Mass.
Girls and boys in grades 3 – 12 are invited to join.

Choirs, organists, guitarists, and song leaders enrich our various liturgies with their musical gifts. They also minister to the celebrating community and deepen their participation. For more information call the office.

Open to all ladies of the parish, the Society provides basic services and supplies that enhance the beauty of the church. They clean the vestments, linens and the church. If you have and events inside the church and are in need of flowers, please contact Hilda Guidry.
DECORATION COMMITTEE
Through the offering of parishioner’s time and talent, the church is decorated for special occasions to create an atmosphere of beauty and prayer. Each of the Liturgical Seasons and themes are enhanced throughout the year.

WAY OF THE CROSS
During the season of Lent, the parish gathers to pray and reflect on the last steps of Jesus as He journeyed to Calvary.

Our parish traditionally sets up a St. Joseph Altar.

SPECIAL CELEBRATIONS
Each year the parish celebrates special occasions such as the Mass for the Deceased, Love Mass honoring all married couples, Easter Sunrise Service, Divine Mercy Sunday, Mother’s Day Celebration, Father’s Day Celebration, St. Francis Pet Mass, and vigil mass for Thanksgiving where hundreds of parishioner participate in the offertory procession by bringing up gifts symbolic of their life and ministries.

The community of Our Lady of the Rosary believes in the power of prayer and would like to
share in the prayers for your family or friends who are sick. If you would like to put someone’s
name on the pray list, please call the office to give their name. All we ask is that you know that
the person we are praying for wants his or her name in the bulletin.

MINISTRY OF ST. JOSEPH
ARIMATHEAN
SOCIETY
Mission
To serve at funerals in our parish church. An Arimathean is a senior or semi-retired man who assists at the Parish Funeral Masses, including assisting at the altar or as Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers as necessary. The special role of the Arimatheans is to be Altar Servers and to prepare for the special needs to the celebrant and bereaved families and friends at funeral masses. Ideally suited to retired men who can be available in the daytime during the week.
They assist in service of seating people, receiving offerings, and other tasks to provide for the smooth flow of the service.
Cenacles of Prayer began as a Marian movement for priests and now has; over 300 bishops, 60,000 priest and millions of laity. The Cenacle has a format of the rosary and an Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. They meet every Monday night at 7:00 PM in the KC Homes.
